Averted, the Metalcore/Prog Metal powerhouse hailing from all around the south of the UK, has been taking the scene by storm since their formation in April 2018. Founding members Jamie and Merlin created the band as a means to explore the techy side of metalcore, writing a few songs before bringing on Logan and Syhem in early 2019, and Alex joining their ranks in 2022. 

Their first EP "Silenced" was written remotely in 2019 due to the distance between band members, a true testament to their unwavering dedication to their craft. The EP was recorded and produced by Jack Stephens (Bloodshot Dawn, Mask of Judas) and released independently by the band in May 2020. The release of "Silenced" received critical acclaim and provided a solid foundation for the band's bright future. 

In late 2020, Averted signed with WormHoleDeath Records and re-released their debut EP, since then they have been making waves in the live music scene, with a string of electrifying performances across the UK following the easing of pandemic restrictions. Now, the band is focusing its attention on creating new music, promising fans an exciting new chapter in their musical journey.
